Construction Career Days 2020
The YBA is coordinating our third annual Construction Career Days, an exciting opportunity available to local students in Aril 2020. Construction Career Days is an extremely beneficial event for high school students who are not planning on pursuing a formal post-secondary education, or for students who are still unsure of their future career path. The purpose of Construction Career Days is to increase high school studentsÂ’ awareness of, and interest in, the readily available careers in the local construction industry.
York Builders Association Presents Annual Parade Of Homes
17 new and remodeled homes in York County will open their doors for free self-guided tours on September 14 and 15, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. For nearly three decades, the York Builders Association and its members have been hosting the York Parade of Homes. The Parade of Homes is presented by long-time sponsor Traditions Mortgage, a division of York Traditions Bank.
Local Builders and Chefs Team Up For Annual Chefs On Parade Event
As a special preview to the York Builders AssociationÂ’s annual Parade of Homes, three new and remodeled home projects will be featured in the Chefs on Parade event on September 12, from 5 – 9p.m.

Consumers in York County, along with industry professionals from across Pennsylvania have spoken and the York Builders Association is pleased to announce the 2019 PEAK Achievement Award winners. These awards recognize excellence in all aspects of the building industry, from building, remodeling, and outdoor projects to design, marketing and service to the community. Â Winners were honored at the 2019 PEAK Achievement Awards Banquet on May 9 at the Out Door Country Club in York.
Local High School Students Make Connections With Area Employers During YBA Construction Career Day Events
The demand for workers in the construction trades continues to grow, and the York Builders Association (YBA) is committed to spreading awareness about the tremendous career opportunities available locally through events like Construction Career Days. The second annual event took place over several days and included five host companies and nine area high schools. Approximately 80 students participated.

The 51st Annual York Builders Association (YBA) Home & Garden Show will return to the York Expo Arena at the York Fairgrounds February 8 – 10, 2019. The Home & Garden Show provides inspiration for home improvement projects of all kinds and gives area residents an opportunity to see and learn about the latest indoor and outdoor home and garden products and services from over 150 experts under one roof. Produced by the York Builders Association, this year’s event marks the 51st anniversary. York Traditions Bank is the 2019 presenting sponsor.
Shonna Cardello Elected 2019 President of York Builders Association
The York Builders Association (YBA) recently installed Shonna Cardello of White Rose Settlement Services, Inc. as the 2019 President at a special event held at the Out Door Country Club. Cardello will serve as President of the YBA Board of Directors for a term of one year.

According to Forbes magazine, wire fraud in real estate is one of the fastest growing cybercrimes in the United States. Reportedly, the FBI received 301,580 complaints in 2017 and losses exceeded $1.4 billion. Based on the report, more than 9,600 victims of wire fraud lost over $56 million in the real estate/rental sector alone.
