JAN 10, 2020 – YORK, PA – The York Builders Association (YBA) recently installed Nicholas Sabold of Sabold Construction as the 2020 President. Sabold will serve as President of the YBA Board of Directors for a term of one year.
Sabold is the owner of his own construction company, Sabold Construction. He has been working locally in the industry for over two decades. At just 14 years-old, Nick started working summers for his Uncle at Bill Sabold Building and Remodeling. Continuing this career path, he graduated from the York County School of Technology with a focus in carpentry and began working for his uncle full-time. Nick pursued his own business insurance and launched Sabold Construction where he started working part-time to build his own business in the evenings. In 2004, he purchased his own shop in Red Lion and has continued to commit himself to the industry and the community.
In 2006, Sabold joined York Builders Association and YBA Remodelers Council. Since that time, he has been an active member and participant in committees, the RemodelerÂ’s Council, and served the Board of Directors in various roles.
SaboldÂ’s achievements include various awards on behalf of his company for exceptional building & remodeling projects, he was named Remodeler of the Month in Remodeler Magazine, and Yoe Fire Company Member of the Year. He has been a volunteer firefighter with the YoeFire Company for over 25 years and currently serves as a trustee.
As President of the Board, Sabold will provide leadership to the over 400-member association in concert with Executive Vice President Laurie Lourie and a 20-member Board of Directors.
Sabold is passionate about continuing the associationÂ’s efforts to bring awareness to the shortage of workers in the skilled trades and providing resources within the community through YBAÂ’s WorkforceNOW initiatives.
“Along with being the go-to resource in York County for the building & remodeling industry and growing awareness about opportunities in the trades, I look forward to working with our membership to help them build their businesses and find value in association membership”, noted Sabold.
Sabold likes helping others in the community and spending time with his family, watching his two girls play softball, basketball and cheerleading for football & basketball. When the weather is nice, they enjoy Sunday drives for ice cream in his Jeep with the top off.
