Red Lion Business Owner, Carmine Pantano Awarded For Achievements
YORK, PA – Carmine Pantano, owner of Frank’s Marble & Granite has been awarded the 2018 Mack Smith Award from the York Builders Association (YBA). This award is part of the PEAK Achievement Awards, presented annually by YBA. The Mack Smith Award recognizes an individual’s commitment to the goals and objectives of the Association and their contribution to the Association, the profession, and their community.

Finding an award-winning contractor just got a lot easier! Consumers in York County, along with industry professionals from across Pennsylvania have spoken and the York Builders Association is pleased to announce the 2018 PEAK Achievement Award winners. These awards recognize excellence in all aspects of the building industry, from building, remodeling, and outdoor projects to design and service to the community. Â Winners were honored at the 2018 PEAK Achievement Awards Banquet on May 10 at the Out Door Country Club in York.
2018 Construction Career Days a Success
Over the last several months the York Builders Association’s (YBA) Workforce Committee put a lot of time and effort into planning our first Construction Career Days events, which took place on April 16 – 18. Outreach to schools and students is a major focus of our strategic plan. During a meeting with York County Economic Alliance, we were approached with the offer to take over their construction day program previously held in April 2017. It was a perfect fit for our new goals and objectives and the association’s Board of Directors approved the adoption of the program.

York Builders Association to Kick Off Construction Career Day Events
Skilled labor in residential construction is a commodity in short supply and the York Builders Association (YBA) is looking to change that by launching their first annual Construction Career Day events on April 16, 17 & 18. The objective of the program is to build awareness among high school students about the diverse career opportunities available to them locally in the construction industry.
