Supporting Birds in Your Backyard
Presented by the York Audubon Society
This program is for anyone who wishes to learn how to “Share your Space” with the beautiful wild birds that are all around us. Deb will show you how to create a healthy bird habitat or enhance an already active bird habitat. A major focus will be on the native trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants that are crucial for providing food and shelter. We will also explore landscaping practices that play an important role in supporting birds. Other topics of discussion will include: why birds need our help, feeders and seed, nest boxes, citizen science projects and organizations that support birds.
