The York Builders Association recently announced the promotion of Haley Miller from Events Coordinator to Director of Events.

In her expanded role, Miller will now oversee all administration, coordination, development and planning of all aspects of YBA special events, including budgeting, sponsorship solicitation and leading all event committees.

Miller joined the YBA team in October of 2019 as Office & Program Coordinator and was promoted to Events Coordinator in early 2020. As a 501 (c) (6), the York Builders Association relies on events and fundraisers to support its mission of being a resource for the home building & remodeling industry in York County, PA. The ability to be self-sustaining through typical in-person events was seriously impacted by the pandemic. Miller played an integral role in helping YBA’s leadership successfully raise self-sustaining funds, adapt and navigate in a manner that would ensure the association’s short-term survival and long-term resilience.

She has been an incredible asset to our organization from day one,” said YBA Executive Vice President, Laurie Lourie. “Her success is a blend of her love of events, ability to pivot quickly, her excellent relationship-building and selling skills and her understanding of the home building & remodeling industry.”

Some of the key events that Miller is responsible for include the York Home & Garden Show, YBA’s PEAK Achievement Awards, the Parade of Homes, the Virtual Parade of Homes, Golf Tournament & others.

Miller is a 2019 graduate of Millersville University with a B.S. degree in Communications and a concentration in Public Relations. Before joining the YBA team, she had previous experience in managing events in her role as Event Coordinator with the Lebanon County Builders Association.
