This week the Pennsylvania Builders Association (PBA) launched their month long recognition with a special email from PBA President, Peter Gallagher. We would like to congratulate Dan Wisotzkey, Yorktowne Roofing and Siding, Inc. and Cieara Thompson, Swartz Kitchens & Baths for being recognized as two of PBA’s top Associate Members throughout the state.

In today’s competitive marketplace it’s more important than ever to keep your name in front of homeowners. As one YBA member put it, I’m busy now, but this might be a bubble so I want to keep my name out there.
At a recent Parade meeting in the Hanover Area, member and veteran builder Paul Burkentine, Burkentine & Sons Builders made an important statement, competition is good. He understands that by joining together through the Parade everyone wins.
Congratulations to Brad Rohrbaugh & Associates. Brad is the winner of the half day photo shoot courtesy of Hayman Studio for submitting his entry by the Early Bird Deadline. He is entering a gorgeous first floor remodel in the York Suburban School District. Brad is also participating in Chefs on Parade with Chef Darlene from Tapenade Bistro.
The York Builders Association is proud to announce its newest partner, Schmuck Lumber Company. As a Partner, they have committed to joining with the York Builders Association to strengthen the Association, advance the industry, and enhance the events in which they will be participating.
Earlier this spring the Membership Committee launched a month long membership drive and we could not be more proud to announce that we have successfully gained 30 new members and still have several potential members in hand.
On Friday May 8, 2015 thirty employees of Hively Landscapes volunteered their Day of Service to benefit the Alexander D. Goode elementary school in York city.
On August 6th the York Builders Association will host Mollie Elkman of group two, presenting Social Media Marketing Toolbox for the home industry.  During this event Mollie will address the need to use social media, the ways to maximize your presence and she will provide specific examples based on our member’s usage.  Don’t miss this opportunity to receive real feedback on increasing your customer reach through social media.
Landscaping cleans up at remodeling awards. Lush plantings, meandering pathways, tranquil water features, and perfectly placed seating commanding breathtaking views of York, were the big winners at the York Builders Association’s remodeling Awards of Excellence banquet. Brian Waltersdorf of Hively Landscapes won a People’s Choice Award, Grand Award, and the John H. Myers & Son Choice Award for an extensive landscape project.
