The York Builders Association (YBA) recently awarded two scholarships to high school seniors through their Trade & Tool Scholarships. The scholarships were presented to high school seniors entering a trade school or entering the building trades workforce.
Student debt rates are higher than ever, with fewer college graduates finding satisfying and long-term careers in return. Did you know that student loan debt in the U.S. totals $1.75 trillion? The demand for workers in the construction trades continues to grow, and the York Builders Association (YBA) is committed to spreading awareness about the tremendous career opportunities available locally through events like Construction Career Days. The second annual event took place over several days and included five host companies and nine area high schools. Approximately 80 students participated.
YBA’s Construction Career Days are a fabulous opportunity to share an insider’s view of your company with local students in the community who are interested in learning about potential career paths in the skilled trades.
