The Parade of Homes provides an opportunity for all members of the York Builders Association to get in front of the public and get business. Here’s how you do it.
Start with these questions:
1. Who are the builders and remodelers that you work with on a regular basis?
2. What are some of the homes that you worked on with them?
Next step:
Approach them with the idea of joining forces on a Parade entry. Offer to kick in some money towards the entry fee in exchange for them allowing you to promote your part of the home. It could be as little as having business cards out, to allowing you to be present to talk with the people as they tour the home. You may even want to help them with a promotional item for the Parade Mobile Tool.
Matt Canaan from Swartz Kitchens & Baths shares that he looks at his presence as a support system for his customers the builder and remodeler. He can be in the home, available to answer specific questions about his cabinetry. He shares that the public getting to see his product in place is huge plus it provides brand recognition.
For several years, Carmine Pantano of Frank’s Marble and Granite has offered the builders and remodelers he works with a sponsorship package. He offers several tiers of financial support in exchange for promoting his company during the Parade.
These are a few suggestions to get you started. Call Parade staff liaison, Cathy Warner, at 717-767-2444 x16 or email her at [email protected] to brainstorm additional ideas for your Parade involvement.
