Deller, this year recipient of the Mack Smith Award, is the Owner and President of Red Oak Remodeling. He has been instrumental in the development and continued success of YBA and has shown continuous commitment to the industry by serving as a board member at the local and state level and is currently a Life Director of both the YBA and the Pennsylvania Builders Association. Deller is involved, dedicated and caring; all of the qualities that make him worthy of the Mack Smith Award. He can also be recognized for his active involvement in community service projects, including his participation in the recent ForSight Charity Fundraiser, two short-term mission trips to Haiti with Mack Smith, his role as shift Supervisor for York Habitat for Humanity and his membership with the York Rotary Club.
Deller has served on numerous YBA Committees throughout his 27 years as a member and was the 1998 & 1999 President of the York Builders Association. He is also recognized his collaboration on the Finance Advisory Committee, his role as Director of the National Association of Home Builders, Political Action Committee for Affordable Housing Trustee for the Pennsylvania Builders Association and Charter member of Remodelers Council of 1991. He was also an active participant in mentorship with the YBA Local High School Scholarship Fundraisers and was a Playhouse Parade builder for the National Kidney Foundation, Past Boy Scout Troop Master #20 and York Chapter Make-A-Wish coordinator in conjunction with the Remodelers Council project.
“It was truly an honor to be the very first recipient of this prestigious award from my peers. Over the years Mack has been a pinnacle member of the York Builders Association. He continues to stay active in the association and has also dedicated his life to helping others through his missionary work in Haiti. Mack is an inspiration not only to me but to the entire membership of our association” says Deller.
