Founded by Ty Backer nearly 19 years ago in his living room with just a handful of employees, TC Backer Construction has grown into a thriving business with over 40 dedicated team members. However, it’s their deep and genuine commitment to giving back that truly sets the company apart.
TC Backer Construction is a proud member of the York Builders Association and is well known for its consistent and impactful community projects. One of their signature initiatives is the annual diaper drive, which aims to ease the burden of rising childcare costs for local families. Another notable event is the Guinness World Record-breaking “21 Turkey Salute,” held each Thanksgiving Eve. This event brings the community together over deep-fried turkeys and ensures that holiday meals are shared with those in need.
In addition to these efforts, TC Backer organizes an annual food and hygiene product drive to combat food insecurity in the region. Their commitment to supporting those in need is further amplified each June when they participate in “Roofers in Recovery.” During this initiative, the company installs a new roof for a deserving community member at no cost, matching the installation cost with a monetary donation to the National Roofers in Recovery Program.
