Thousands of consumers hit the Utz Arena at The York Expo Center earlier this month to attend the 50th Annual Home & Garden Show. The annual show is hosted by The York Builders Association (YBA) and the 2018 Presenting Sponsor was York Traditions Bank.
Over 150 vendors specializing in everything from home building & remodeling to experts in windows, flooring, HVAC systems, landscaping, basement waterproofing, pools & hot tubs, mortgages and more, manned exhibits and demonstrated their services from Friday afternoon through the close of the event at 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 11.
At this point, we are only providing estimates, but the turnout was strong and we have definitely seen an increase in attendance over last year. This is in part attributed to the heightened interest in home improvements and remodeling projects, said YBAs Executive Vice President, Laurie Lourie.
YBA officially kicked-off the show with a 50th Anniversary ribbon-cutting ceremony sponsored by Strines Heating & A/C. Attendees included sponsors, special guests from the community and several legislators. Representative Carol Hill-Evans presented YBA President Jason Barshinger with a proclamation commemorating the 50th anniversary of the event.
The Home & Garden Show provides inspiration and gives area residents an opportunity to see and learn about the latest indoor and outdoor home and garden products and services from over 150 experts under one roof. Produced by the York Builders Association, the 2018 Presenting Sponsor was York Traditions Bank.
The 2019 Home & Garden Show will take place on February 8, 9 & 10 at the Utz Arena.
